Coderbunker: How do you find out about Coderbunker? What made you come here?

Bella: I spend my free time at FreeCodeCamp learning front-end development, and I get to know friends that are also studying programming. We built our study group and joined the FCC Shanghai Wechat Group. I heard about Coderbunker from a group discussion and I am very interested in the colearning mode which is why I am here now.

Colearning is collaborative learning in a shared environment. Participants need to follow the self-paced online courses and help each other reach their study goals. Colearning is not a lecture or seminar that is led by a teacher, but rather a platform that allows students to be their own teacher and help each other.

Coderbunker: How is your learning progress at FreeCodeCamp? Do you need extra help?

Bella:I’m studying front-end HTML right now. I can finish most of the courses by myself but when I run into questions I can also get help from colearners as well as Coderbunker members. Through online courses and the help of Coderbunker developers, even learners with zero knowledge are able to learn to build a basic website in three months.

Coderbunker: What is your current job?

Bella:I’m working on environmental projects for a Finnish company, in order to help processing of trash and waste.

Coderbunker: Have you thought about becoming a freelancer like Coderbunker members?

Bella:Indeed, I hope that I can become a freelancer one day. But there is a long way to go and I need to learn more about programming. Perhaps I’ll join the Coderbunker community when I’m an expert in front-end development.

Coderbunker: Since it’s your first time at Coderbunker, how do you feel about it?

Bella:Everyone has their own learning pace and most of the time is quietly studying on their own. There are many experienced programmers at Coderbunker and they are very helpful.
