Hear a talk by Lukas about Streisand, a set of Ansible roles to set up your own internet gateway encrypting all your internet traffic.
Followed by a hands-on workshop setting up your own Streisand server.
Lukas has started playing with Linux when he was 13 years old and has been free and open source culture enthusiast ever since he realized what freedom it brings.
His interest in censorship and autocratic regimes led him to choose Chinese studies as his university major, rather than computer science. He managed to combine these two interests in Shanghai, where he works as Linux sysadmin, while watching the world's most sophisticated internet control system from the first row.
Bring a laptop with a recent Linux OS (VM is also fine) or a Mac with Ansible already installed. A VPS (virtual private server) with a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 installation is required, Streisand can spin one up for you at Amazon EC2, DigitalOcean, Google Compute Engine, Linode, and Rackspace automatically - have your authentication token ready (or reuse your existing VM at any other provider, like ChunkHost).
